Taking the time to break bread together (or eating cake) is time best spent with everyone you love and care for.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Paige, the owner and chef of Pastry Paige. My love for cooking and baking has been a life long passion starting around the age of 5. I grew up in a household where food was made fresh and more importantly from scratch. My abuela (grandmother) would make the best Spanish dishes and the perfect dessert to finish it off. That's when I saw cooking and baking as an art form― the style of cooking, the aroma, the taste and presentation.
As I got older, my birthday and Christmas list did not include skip-it or Barbie, instead I asked for an Easy Bake Oven, mittens to help Mom bake and an apron. I became more involved in the kitchen helping with the small tasks that my mother would allow me. It wasn't until I was 13 years old that I could touch the stove, and even then I needed adult supervision. As for my first cooked dish well let's just remember that Picasso's first painting wasn't the best thing ever.
Now I spend most days creating and coming up with new ideas on how to change up the pastry world.
